Tanzania Tree Crops Development Program
Reviving Roots, Growing Futures
We’re boosting Tanzania’s tree crop sector, from coffee and cocoa to bananas and macadamia — to create jobs, secure farmer incomes, and expand export earnings. By combining improved seedlings, modern agronomy, and market access, we’re promoting agroforestry and conservation agriculture, planting the seeds for resilient, sustainable, and long-term prosperity.

Reviving Lost Hope, Restoring Njombe Coffee
Once a thriving cash crop, Njombe’s coffee industry collapsed under poor prices, leaving farmers discouraged and fields abandoned. SAADIT’s project is bringing back this lost legacy—supporting smallholders with improved seedlings, training, and market access. Together, we are restoring Njombe’s coffee heritage and ensuring farmers once again earn a fair and sustainable income.
Tanzania Cocoa Development Project
Once overlooked, cocoa in Rungwe and Kyela is ready for a comeback.
Tanzania’s rich soils and ideal climate make world-class cocoa possible—but weak markets and outdated practices left farmers struggling. Our Cocoa Revival and Development Program is changing that—introducing high-yielding seedlings, expert training, and reliable buyer linkages. Together, we’re unlocking the region’s cocoa potential and helping farmers build a thriving, sustainable future from bean to bar.
